SNA at National Autism Society Conference
SNA member Brian Rubin, J.D., and affiliate member Benjamin Rubin, J.D., Buffalo Grove, Illinois, will explain that “Special Needs Planning Is Not Just a Special Needs Trust!” from 1:00- 2:15 p.m. Thursday, July 24, during the 45th annual National Autism Society Conference in Indianapolis. As father and brother, respectively, to a 33-year-old individual with ASD, they will share personal and legal insights in discussing:
- Government benefits
- Special needs trusts
- Guardianship and alternatives
- Letters of intent
- Effects of parental divorce on government benefits
- and more!
Their practice focuses solely on future planning for individuals with disabilities. Brian is an SNA board member, president of the Arc of Illinois and co-chairman of the State of Illinois Autism Task Force. Benjamin, an affiliate member of SNA, is president of SIBS (Supporting Illinois Brothers and Sisters, the state chapter of the Sibling Leadership Network) and serves on the Arc of Illinois board.
